6371de806b Improve rain/weather.
* Like Kart, remove cv_precipdensity.
* Like Kart, replace "Infinite" draw distance value with "None".
* Better thinker with more return optimisation.
* Better placement of thinking in rendering, to avoid ceiling-mounted sprite glitches.

6c6ed6a349 Fix Titlemap with mazmazz's fancy menu stuff
Handled by changing some defaults.

Untested, experimenting with Gitlab Web IDE as reconfiguring my build environment is likely to be a pain and I'd like to put that off as long as possible please

2fb569857a Added the Gametype_Names array and G_GetGametypeByName for ease in converting gametype nums to strings and vice versa
gametype_cons_t is now initialised using the Gametype_Names array, like how Color_cons_t is initialised using Color_Names

bce093fd06 Setup the tables even eariler.
I really hate that PlayerMenu status hack, but that's really the only
way I could think off to show the entires for Tails, Knuckles and the
Sonic&Tails pair.

Needs the config default-changing shenanigans done still, not sure how to tackle that yet. Now the game is TOTALLY playable from a fresh install if you just plug in a controller.

3b6de810e1 Lots of changes to better support hotplugging and unstable device indexes
* Don't save cv_usejoystick/2 because hotplugging changes can be made invalid by next run
* Properly set cv_usejoystick/2 for menu toggling
* Force-disable a player's joystick if setting another player's joystick to the same device
* Properly set cv_usejoystick/2 value of BOTH target player AND other players when hotplugging and unplugging

bd3e9cc067 Major refinement of Add-ons menu!
* Kill addonsresponselimit, which was a hacky solution to a stupid problem. Instead...
* Allocate and consistently handle memory to store the name of an added file so we can reference it directly.
* Replace the choice between ./ and a custom folder with the full, standard assortment of Default (usehome ? SRB2HOME : SRB2PATH), HOME (SRB2HOME), SRB2 (SRB2PATH) or Custom (cv_addons_folder.string).
* Make these render as the name plus folder, since you can't go UP... from the top level.
* Make the path seperators consistently system-based re PATHSEP. (Quite frankly, I'm surprised it even worked in the first place...)

f3baf608a2 Revamp of addons menu search!
* Instead of iterating through the folder every time you change the search query by one letter, iterate through the "coredirmenu" (the game's interpretation of the folder) instead. MUCH, much less likely to lag to fuck and back.
* Hide a bit of complexity in filesrch.c instead of having the entire thing exposed to mess with. For example, closefilemenu() instead of manually freeing the struct each time.
* Refactor some stuff.

f90d595332 * cv_directionchar and cv_autobrake, and their secondplayer versions (both on by default) now exist.
* cv_useranalog is now hidden from the menu.
* Directionchar now attempts to face the camera direction when you're standing still, and handles a few other states with more decorum.
* Tailsbot is now slightly more capable of keeping up with Sonic.
* pflags rearranged/adjusted, combining a few non-simulstaneous ones and turning PF_NIGHTSFALL into CR_NIGHTSFALL.
* [unrelated to branch] all ground-impact based abilities now happen more consistently with quicksand.

8d78d32d64 * Fix an issue where valid savefiles would be hidden because there were at least three unused slots between that and the last visible save. In the process, made sure there were at least three slots visible at all times, but never show extras not needed to show all the saves.
* Optimisations in a bunch of places, including to static

* Changed the save format a little more, since I had free reign over it.
* Modified the string drawing functions to not awkwardly clip at the very edges of the screen, considering the relevant patch drawing functions avoid out-of-range memory writes.

* Fix a bug where I got emeralds and mapnumbers mixed up when checking for the "there's a tailsbot" flag.
* Consider a save with an invalid skin an invalid save, rather than allowing its continued presence.

fd63db0aaf Starting lives revamp, per the 2.2 priorities topic list!
* Each time you die, the number of game overs you've had is counted.
* Your save file updates to record this.
* The number of startinglives is determined by the number of times you'ved game-overed, with the maximum being infinity lives (thereby providing a cap on the number of game overs you can go through in a typical game).

Requires a new patch.dta, but I'm not uploading that yet because not happy with the icon we've got going for infinity lives on the save select menu.
