fec958cc0a - finally managed to get rid of the DWORD type.
This one was particularly nasty because Windows also defines a DWORD, but in Windows it is an unsigned long, not an unsigned int so changing types caused type conflicts and not all could be removed.
Those referring to the Windows type have to be kept, fortunately they are mostly in the Win32 directory, with a handful of exceptions elsewhere.

8d6fe24945 cleanup of MIDI code dependencies
* make the critical section local to the respective platform instead of polluting everything with system specific symbols.
* moved system specific class declarations into the source file instead of having them in the global header.

This commit temporarily disables the Windows system device because it cannot be done without polluting the global header and still needs a bit of refactoring.

d2beacfc5f - except for DWORD, all homegrown integer types are gone - a handful were left where they represent genuine Windows types. 2017-03-09 19:54:41 +01:00

c008ddaf66 - replaced homegrown SWORD, SBYTE and uint32_t types. 2017-03-09 19:31:45 +01:00

f341e7fb6a - removed SQWORD, there were only a handful of occurences. 2017-03-08 19:02:50 +01:00

c630b07011 - replaced SDWORD with int32_t globally.
This type wasn't used in the software rendering code so it could be removed already. The other homegrown types will have to be dealt with later.

ef98757c7c - replaced finesine for texture warping with a smaller custom table, based on the old 2005 FP code, but fixes the generation of the sine table.
- removed all remnants of finesine and deleted tables.c and tables.h.

9412ce45d6 - floatified portals.cpp and most of p_maputl.cpp. 2016-03-31 16:52:25 +02:00

dabed04d2a - floatification of p_3dfloors, p_3dmidtex and p_acs.cpp plus some leftovers.
- removed all references to Doom specific headers from xs_Float.h and cmath.h.

c83ad9df6c - removed special treatment for not using stdint.h with MSVC. Current compiler versions have this file.
- removed use of finesine for creating the player backdrop for the menu display. This mostly uses the code from the old 2.0 floating point version but fixes some of the constants in there which were not correct.

5175d56129 - made adjustments to P_LineAttack and P_RailAttack to deal with altered angles by passing through a non-parallel portal.
- fixed: P_FindFloorCeiling set the floorsector for a new ceilingheight.

Note: P_DrawRailTrail still needs to be changed, at the moment rail trails through portals will not work correctly.

abcc6049b9 - made the z coordinate part of the CheckResults for the MultiBlock iterators and use these for all height checks in the iterator loops. This will later make it easier to support arbitrary portals with height displacements. 2016-02-22 12:05:36 +01:00

02d7572343 - some header dependency cleanup so that it is no longer needed to include portal.h to get the inline functions. Portal.h has been reduced of most dependencies now so that including it is cheap and can be done in other headers.
- some consolidation in p_map.cpp. PIT_CheckLine and PIT_FindFloorCeiling had quite a bit of redundancy which has been merged.
- Ĩontinued work on FMultiBlockLinesIterator. It's still not completely finished.

1b88052bba - started refactoring ZatPoint calls which need to be portal aware.
To summarize, anything that just works with map geometry doesn't need to bother, as does the renderer. (i.e. nearly all r_* files, p_floor.cpp, p_ceiling.cpp et.al)
But all calls that are somehow related to actor positions need to be made aware of potential portal transitions:

 * added FloorAtPoint, CeilingAtPoint and PlaneAtPoint methods to sector_t, which can be used to calculate a plane's height with relation to a given actor, even if that actor is on the other side of a portal.
 * added HighestCeilingAt and LowestFloorAt methods which traverse all ceiling/floor portals until they find an impassable plane.

6adb069506 - rewrote p_local.h so that it doesn't pull in the entire bunch of headers.
This was to resolve some circular dependencies with the portal code.
The most notable changees:

 * FTextureID was moved from textures.h to doomtype.h because it is frequently needed in files that don't want to do anything with actual textures.
 * split off the parts from p_maputl into a separate header.
 * consolidated all blockmap related data into p_blockmap.h
 * split off the polyobject parts into po_man.h

344dda4a1a - Replaced toint/quickertoint with the portable routines from xs_Float.h. The
former used fistp, which is not portable across platforms, so cannot be
used in the play simulation. They were only suitable for the renderer.
xs_Float.h also has a very fast float->fixed conversion, so FLOAT2FIXED
  uses that now.
(And I also learned that the FPU's round to nearest is not the rounding I
learned in grade school but actually Banker's Rounding. I had no idea.)
(Also, also, the only thing that could have made quickertoint faster than
toint was that it stored a 32-bit int. I never timed them, and I doubt in
practice there was any real difference between the two.)
- Changed atan2f to atan2. Using floats is not a win, because the result is
returned as a double on the x87 stack, which the caller then needs to cast
down to a float using fst/fld.

latter comes predefined by GCC.

00b21e4b96 - Apparently, YASM is not a suitable substitute for NASM when doing Win32 builds.
- Removed extraneous printf parameter for Texman.Init startup message.
- Added newlines to the ends of a few headers that were missing them.
- Fixed more GCC errors/warnings.
