Eric Wasylishen 1f3c1a711a Make "exceeds standard limit of" messages only display when developer cvar is set, with a new Con_DWarning function.
Have heard these are confusing players and mappers/modders; people assume there is an error or a limit in QS is exceeded, but the messages are only about exceeding the limits in vanilla WinQuake/GLQuake.

Eric Wasylishen 93a442003a cl_parse.c: fix viewmodel lerping on large maps (e.g. zendar, warpd)
cl.stats[STAT_WEAPON] was being used before the high 8 bits were filled in, which is done with the SU_WEAPON2 byte.
Moved the block which clears the viewmodel lerp state to be after handling SU_WEAPON2.

Eric Wasylishen a7bf2f59a4 Apply Baker's fix for cross-map demo playback (http://forums.inside3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2397).
With that alone, the console would come down and slide up when the map changes in a demo.
I added a SCR_BeginLoadingPlaque() call in CL_ParseServerInfo, only done during demo playback, which shows the loading plaque and prevents the console from appearing and sliding up.

Eric Wasylishen 9bd02ae55b cl_parse.c: hack so demos playback at the correct speed even if they contain a lot of svc_stufftext messages (e.g. one every frame).
for a test case, play a demo from: http://www.quaketastic.com/upload/files/demos/otp_honey100.zip
for the honey map pack: http://www.quaketastic.com/upload/files/single_player/maps/honey.zip
on a slow pc that gets signifigantly less than 72fps, or with host_maxfps lowered (e.g. set to 33).

with QS 0.85.9, the demo will play in slow-motion; with QS 0.85.6 (without the cross-map demo support) it plays normally.

admittedly this is a fringe scenario, but it's imo a legitimate bug in the Pa3PyX cross-map demo playback code.

Sander van Dijk 3b2e101cbe In CL_ParseServerInfo(), call Host_Error() when a model can't be found.
This prevents the segmentation fault reported by Spirit at

Ozkan Sezer 2b919188d6 renamed Sys_FloatTime to Sys_DoubleTime (the thing always returned double
you know..) and adjusted all callers accordingly.  changed Sys_Sleep() to
take a milliseconds argument, added implementations for unix (usleep) and
windows (Sleep).

Ozkan Sezer 945262b863 min/max macros: renamed them to q_min and q_max, moved them common.h.
removed the inline versions which only handled integers.  moved CLAMP
macro to common.h.  Adjusted all places for the renamed macros.

Ozkan Sezer cbb7eb0428 Backported external music files support using decoder libraries and the
new raw samples interface from Hammer of Thyrion (uhexen2) :
- bgmusic.c, bgmusic.h: New BGM interface for background music handling.
  Handles streaming music as raw sound samples.
- bgmnull.c: BGM source for cases where the engine is configured for no
  sound.
- cl_main.c: Include bgmusic.h. Call BGM_Stop() and CDAudio_Stop() in
  CL_Disconnect().
- cd_sdl.c: Moved bgmvolume boundary checking to bgmusic.c upon value
  changes.
- gl_vidnt.c, gl_vidsdl.c, cl_parse.c: Include bgmusic.h. Add BGM_Pause()
  and BGM_Resume() calls along with CDAudio_ counterparts.
- cl_parse.c: Replace CDAudio_Play() call by the new BGM_PlayCDtrack()
  which first tries CDAudio_Play() and then streaming music if it fails.
- host.c: Include bgmusic.h. Call BGM_Update() just before S_Update()
  in Host_Frame(). In Host_Init(), call BGM_Init() after other audio init
  calls. In Host_Shutdown(), call BGM_Shutdown() before all other audio
  shutdown calls.
- snd_dma.c: Include snd_codec.h and bgmusic.h. Call S_CodecInit() from
  S_Init(). Call S_CodecShutdown() from S_Shutdown().
- snd_codec.c, snd_codec.h: New public codec interface for streaming
  music as raw samples. Adapted from quake2 and ioquake3 with changes.
  Individual codecs are responsible for handling any necessary byte swap
  operations.
- snd_codeci.h: New header for snd_codec internals.
- snd_wave.c, snd_wave.h: Codec for WAV format streaming music. Adapted
  from ioquake3 with changes.
- snd_vorbis.c, snd_vorbis.h: Codec for Ogg/Vorbis format streaming music.
- snd_mp3.c, snd_mp3.h: Codec for MP3 format streaming music using libmad.
  Adapted from the SoX project with changes.
- Makefile: Adjusted for the new sources. Added switches USE_CODEC_WAVE,
  USE_CODEC_MP3, USE_CODEC_VORBIS for enabling and disabling individual
  codecs.
- Windows makefiles and project files as well as other CodeBlocks project
  files will be updated shortly.

else statements and unused and uninitialized variables. There are still a
couple of unitialised variables here and there, but not much. The warnings
about strict aliasing violations need taking care of.

Ozkan Sezer 359116f394 client.h (client_state_t): added mapname[128] as a new member to hold the
current map file name without path and extension.
cl_parse.c (CL_ParseServerInfo): copy the naked name of the map file to
the cl structure.
host_cmd.c (Host_Map_f): print the current map name if no arguments are
given. print help message if not connected.
