# Material Command List {#mat_commands}
### vmap_shadeangle
#### Syntax
**vmap_shadeAngle <degrees>**
#### Overview
In short: At which angle the phong shading on a material breaks. If you
set it to 0, basically no phong shading will ever be performed. The
default shade angle in [VMAP](VMAP) is 40 degrees.
