3fb03fc2be hah, should have been using __attribute__((used)) all that time (rather
than __attribute__((unused))). fixes the missing console in -x11

761a7546dd re-arrange things so __attribute__ and __builtin_expect are properly
autoconfiscated so rcsid will continue to work with gcc 3.3

da994c16e5 rewrite R_SplitEntityOnNode to be itterative rather than recursive (using
a static `stack') to avoid the function call overhead. this cuts about 40%
of the execution time from this function.

No matter what I tried, best results were obtained using __builtin_expect,
so make sure non-gcc compilers do the right thing when they encounter it.

73e6e1684f FINALLY, the nq and qw renderers are merged. the view and particle subsystems
are not yet merged due to their dependence on the client, but that will come
soon.
