This editing mode allows you to edit the vertices in your map. You can insert new vertices that automatically split linedefs and deleting a vertex that only has two linedefs attached will reconnect the linedefs properly. You can drag the vertices to move them and snap them to the <a href="w_gridsetup.html">grid</a> and geometry. Hold Shift and/or Control to disable snapping to the grid and geometry.<br />

The vertices editing mode is one of the classic (2D) editing modes.
<h2>Default Controls</h2>

<td>Switches from any other classic editing mode to this mode.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td valign="top"><b>Insert</b></td>
<td>Inserts a new vertex at the mouse coordinates. When near a linedef, the linedef will be split with this vertex.</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td valign="top"><b>Delete</b></td>
<td>Deletes the selected vertices. Note that this may also remove attached linedefs and break your sectors.</td>
