2bc7cc3d22 [qfcc] Implement a lot of glsl's semantics
Not everything yet, but enough to get type errors in expressions (due to
swizzles not working).

5191fc26a3 [qfcc] Unify much of the qc and glsl parser interface
This gets the types such that either there is only one definition, or C
sees the same name for what is essentially the same type despite there
being multiple local definitions.

bf44ff3194 [qfcc] Base default object file name on output file
There's no guarantee the source file is in a writable directory (in
fact, it is very definitely in a read-only directory when running
`make distcheck`). However, it is reasonable to assume the output file
is being written to a writable directory thus default the object file
directory to that of the output file, but still use the source file's
name for the object file name.

51f3915e12 [qfcc] Separate preprocess only and preprocess output
-M does only preprocessing but does not generate the preprocessed output

9a00998d9c [qfcc] Fix vector ops after preprocessor changes
I'm not sure what exactly caused vector literals to break, but bailing
out of the vector ops section on conversion to vector or quaternion
fixes game-source.

16241b6811 [qfcc] Fix a bunch of preprocessing options issues
-D options weren't counting correctly so build_cpp_args was writing past
the end of the array allocated for command line arguments

parse_cpp_name had an out-by-one resulting in reading past the end of
the string.

The qfcc system include path was being set in the wrong place (not sure
why I thought that was right), and not respecting no_default_paths.

-M was generating preprocessor output when it should not have been,
resulting in corrupted dependency files.

98a2cb7505 [qfcc] Update defines for back-end target
That is, `__RUAMOKO__` and `__VERSION6__` were missed when I got `-D`

dd17e45052 [qfcc] Use a prefix for qc tokens

it became more necessary (and will become even more necessary when I get

cea24af5c4 [qfcc] Clean up default option handling
It turns out the switch to c23 (and using bool) broke the way default

cb4b073e47 [qfcc] Support some unicode ops and GA ops
Only · (dot product) and × (cross product for vector, commutator product
for geometric algebra) have been tested so far, but that involved
fighting with cpp to get it to not convert the · to \U000000b7, which
was rather annoying.

dbd3d6502a Nuke qboolean from orbit
I never liked it, but with C2x coming out, it's best to handle bools
properly. I haven't gone through all the uses of int as bool (I'll leave
that for fixing when I encounter them), but this gets QF working with
both c2x (really, gnu2x because of raw strings).

f323401c10 [qfcc] Add an explicit hadamard operator
While the option to make '*' mean dot product for vectors is important,
it breaks vector scaling in ruamoko progs as the resultant vector op
becomes a dot product instead of the indented hadamard product (ie,
component-wise).

5f6e0767d7 [qfcc] Make the meaning of vec * vec selectable
Currently only via pragma (not command line options), but I needed to
test the concept. Converting legacy code is just too error prone.
Telling the compiler how to treat the operator makes more sense. When *
acts as @dot with Ruamoko progs, the result is automatically aliased as
a float as this is the legacy meaning (ie, float result for dot
product).

f3770cc647 [qfcc] Add --ruamoko command line option and pragma
The command line option works the same way as
--advanced/traditional/extended, as does the pragma. As well, raumoko
(alternative spelling) can be used because both are legitimate and some
people may prefer one spelling over the other.

As always, use of the pragma is at one's own risk: its intended use is
forcing the target in the unit tests.

7970525ef4 [util] Make va thread-safe
It now takes a context pointer (opaque data) that holds the buffers it
uses for the temporary strings. If the context pointer is null, a static
context is used (making those uses of va NOT thread-safe). Most calls to
va use the static context, but all such calls have been formatted
consistently so they are easy to find when it comes time to do a full
audit.

6d5ffa9f8e [build] Move to non-recursive make
There's still some cleanup to do, but everything seems to be working
nicely: `make -j` works, `make distcheck` passes. There is probably
plenty of bitrot in the package directories (RPM, debian), though.

The vc project files have been removed since those versions are way out
of date and quakeforge is pretty much dependent on gcc now anyway.

Most of the old Makefile.am files are now Makemodule.am. This should
allow for new Makefile.am files that allow local building (to be added
on an as-needed bases). The current remaining Makefile.am files are for
standalone sub-projects.a

The installable bins are currently built in the top-level build
directory. This may change if the clutter gets to be too much.

While this does make a noticeable difference in build times, the main
reason for the switch was to take care of the growing dependency issues:
now it's possible to build tools for code generation (eg, using qfcc and
ruamoko programs for code-gen).

d69db50cf9 [qfcc] Remove path stripping
It never really helped sort out the path issues when using build
directories. It worked well enough for single directory projects, but
things got messy very quickly, especially when mixing ruamoko libs with

89ec86f77f [qfcc] Add option to promote of float through ...

distraction from the optimizer :) Works for both progs.src and separate

f14d8060e0 Merge qfpc into qfcc.
Since gnu bison and flex are required anyway, no harm in using their api
prefix options. Now, qfcc can compile both QC/Ruamoko and Pascal files
(Pascal is (currently?) NOT supported in progs.src mode), selecting the
language based on the extension: .r, .qc and .c select QC/Ruamoko, .pas and
.p select Pascal, while anything else is treated as an object file (as
before).

c8163fc0de Add an option to prevent the use of default paths.
Despair has things locked down such that running qfcc during a build fails
due to lack of read access to /usr/local/lib. This is actually a good
thing as accidentally hitting old includes/libs (when a file gets deleted
in the tree) hides bugs. Thus, --no-default-paths to turn off default
search paths.

29cac0fe3a Optionally create *_[xyz] symbols for accessing vector components.
"vector-components" in code options controls this feature. The default is
off for advanced code and on for traditional code. Disabling
vector-components prevents the comonent names polluting the namespace and
reduces the number of globals needed for vector fields if the components
of that field are never used.
