9cf9dc1f6b - took the delayed console command execution out of the thinker management.
Doing this intermingled with the thinkers is highly unsafe because there are absolutely no guarantees about order of execution.
Effectively it ran these commands right in the middle of the playsim which could cause all sorts of synchronization issues, because CCMDs are part of the UI, not the playsim.

- pass a const string to AddCommandString.

This function manipulated the input buffer, leading to all sorts of code contortions to make sure that the passed parameter is clean for that.
This function will now create a copy of the passed parameter which it can manipulate without complicating its calling code.

251b096b48 - removed all remaining native parts of APlayerPawn.
Unlike the other classes, the places where variables from this class were accessed were quite scattered so there isn't much scriptified code. Instead, most of these places are now using the script variable access methods.
This was the last remaining subclass of AActor, meaning that class Actor can now be opened for user-side extensions.

1e9fdca755 Made unsafe execution context check for CVARs more strict
This prevents changing of non-mod CVARs from unsafe context for various code paths including set and toggle CCMDs

6d37a67027 Added unsafe execution context for console commands
Some console commands are insecure because they access user's file system
Such commands cannot be executed from MENUDEF and KEYCONF aliases

d2beacfc5f - except for DWORD, all homegrown integer types are gone - a handful were left where they represent genuine Windows types. 2017-03-09 19:54:41 +01:00

4d2a52418f - added an errorlog option.
This cuts down on as much message noise as possible, outputs everything to a file specified as a parameter and then quits immediately, allowing this to run from a batch that's supposed to check a larger list of files for errors.
Multiple outputs get appended if the file already exists.

6428b399d6 Try to sanitize the exec+pullin mess
- Old mess:
  * Execute autoexec files right away.
  * Execute -exec files right away.
  * Execute command line commands right away.
    - If, during any of the above, an unknown command or a set of an
unknown variable is encountered, store it for later.
    - Pullin commands are directly executed and add to the list of files
      to load.
  * Do a little setup, including parsing CVARINFOs.
  * Retry saved commands in case CVARINFO added a cvar they refer to.
- New, less messy, mess:
  * Parse autoexec files into an array.
  * Parse -exec files.
  * Parse command line commands.
    - During all of the above, exec commands are also parsed into the
array immediately rather than being saved for execution later.
    - Pullin commands are parsed into a different array. The pullin
command doesn't actually do anything directly anymore.
  * Add all the pullin files to the list of files to load.
  * Do a little setup, including parsing CVARINFOs.
  * Execute every command that was parsed in the preceding steps.

4017a6d864 Retry setting unknown cvars after CVARINFOs are processed.
- Fixed: Using +set cvarname and +cvarname on the command line would not
work if cvarname was defined in CVARINFO. This should be the proper way to fix
it. Rather than move all command line execution after loading CVARINFO,
keep command line execution before wads are loaded. If an attempt is
made to set an unknown cvar or to run an unknown command (which could
potentially be shorthand for setting an unknown cvar), save it and try
running it again after all CVARINFOs have been handled.

48b926e5b4 - check +logfile explicitly at the start of execution. Due to the custom CVAR rewrite it would get called so late that it'd miss half of the log.
- added version check for Windows 8. I also would have liked to add 8.1 but due to some incredibly stupid changes in the version API it's no longer possible to reliably retrieve the correct Windows version for later builds.

6a3b07c441 - Removed the BuildString() override that took a char** argv, because it was used nowhere.
- Fixed: BuildString() failed to properly generate command lines for arguments with embedded "

99b5fe29f7 - cleaned up D_DoomMain a little. It's still far too large though.
- added explicit initialization of console background texture instead of letting C_InitConsole doing it as needed.
- added 'clearaliases' CCMD.

a90bde274e The menu code sucks!
- Joystick devices now send key up events for any buttons that are held
  down when they are destroyed.
- Changed the joystick enable-y menu items to be nonrepeatable so that you
can't create several device scans per second. Changing them with a
controller is also disabled so that you can't, for example, toggle XInput
support using an XInput controller and have things go haywire when the
game receives an infinite number of key down events when the controller
is reinitialized with the other input system.
- Changed menu input to use a consolidated set of buttons, so most menus
can be navigated with a controller as well as a keyboard.
- Changed the way that X/Y analog axes are converted to digital axes.
Previously, this was done by checking if each axis was outside its deadzone.
Now they are checked together based on their angle, so straight up/down/
left/right are much easier to achieve.

5cd4604f81 - Added GetPlayerInput() for examining a player's inputs from ACS. Most
buttons are now passed across the network, and there are four new user
buttons specifically for use with this command. Also defined +zoom
  and +reload for future implementation.

  See http://zdoom.org/files/examples/playerinput.zip for an example.

e64586d86f - Reduced volume, expression, and panning controllers back to 7 bits.
- Added very basic Soundfont support to the internal TiMidity. Things missing:
filter, LFOs, modulation envelope, chorus, reverb, and modulators. May or
may not be compatible with TiMidity++'s soundfont extensions.
- Added support for quoted strings to the TiMidity config parser.

b25c7722f3 - Added the ACS commands
ReplaceTextures (str old_texture, str new_texture, optional bool not_lower,
optional bool not_mid, optional bool not_upper, optional bool not_floor,
      optional bool not_ceiling); and
SectorDamage (int tag, int amount, str type, bool players_only, bool in_air,
      str protection_item, bool subclasses_okay);
- Added the vid_nowidescreen cvar to disable widescreen aspect ratio
correction. When this is enabled, the only display ratio available is 4:3
(and 5:4 if vid_tft is set).
- Added support for setting an actor's damage property to an expression
through decorate. Just enclose it within parentheses, and the expression
will be evaluated exactly as-is without the normal Doom damage calculation.
So if you want something that does exactly 6 damage, use a "Damage (6)"
property. To deal normal Doom missile damage, you can use
"Damage (random(1,8)*6)" instead of "Damage 6".
- Moved InvFirst and InvSel into APlayerPawn so that they can be consistantly
  maintained by ObtainInventory.
