To this end, they receive resources much faster than other species, and can tap a larger amount. They can also spray <a href="alien_gorge_primary.html">healing</a> bacteria from their mouths, restoring chambers and other aliens to full effectiveness. Though their role is not as aggressive as the other species, they consistently find ways to cause mischief and support attacks on enemy positions. When tripped, a web strand immediately unanchors from both ends, and contracts around its victim. After a few moments of struggle a marine can break free – but until he does he will be moving much slower, and <i>won't be able to use his weapons, jump, or use jet packs</i>. Webs are highly susceptible to heat: welders can burn them away without activating them. Multiple webs have cumulative effects.</p> <p><b>Three Hives</b>: <span class="sectiontext">Babblers</span><br> <br> with this most advanced ability, the Gorge becomes a kind of hive itself. It can spontaneously create primitive, fully autonomous Skulks, that attack any enemies nearby. These Skulks are not as powerful or clever as hive spawned ones, and are also unstable.
