For the Debian packages released on the website, a chroot environment is

built using an old version of Debian (Sarge). As all the packages used are
|
||
|
|
backwards-compatible, the package will work on any recent versions
|
||
|
|
of Debian or distributions derived from it (Ubuntu, etc).
